The chief umpire implemented several 20 minute lightning delays during the game. The Wonders white lightening bolts on their hats, seemed to provide the good karma necessary to gain a victory.

The highlight play of the game occurred during the top of the third inning, when Plug's second baseman Eric "Noodles" Bennett tumbled when catching his cleats in the soft soil while fielding a ground ball. He had the good baseball instinct to not give up on the play, so he shuffled the ball to his upright shortstop, who threw onto first to assist on the out.

Wonders starter Rick Stacy had a great outing striking out 6 with only one walk through 5 innings to lead his team to a win.
