Today's scheduled rematch from 5/14/26 has again, been postponed and will be re-scheduled.

7/23/26- Wonders 0 - Phillies 15

The Phillies, needing a win to clinch first place, banged out 15 hits and turned 4 double plays en route to a 15-0 blanking of the Wonders in 5 innings. Because the temps were perfect and the teams wanted to play, the game continued through 7 innings over which the Phils added two more.

Phillies pitchers Colin Hosley (5 IP) and Ken Sloat (2 IP), combined to allow only 4 hits and no walks, but had no strikeouts. In fact the entire game was devoid of strikeouts.

The Phillies scored 5 in the first, 2 on bases loaded walks by Hosley and Andy Klepacki off of starter Chris Ciepiela, an RBI single by Jim Fogarty, and RBI groundouts by Sloat and John Wills. They added another in the 2nd when Miguel Ringler singled and came around on Matt Witek’s hit.

After a scoreless 3rd, the Phillies exploded for a 9-run 4th. Ringler, Micah Winston and Paul Griswold loaded the bases with singles. Witek walked to score a run, Hosley hit an RBI single, Klepacki’s fielders choice hard hit grounder became a run-scoring error, Fogarty smashed a 2-run double, Sloat brought in another on an RBI groundout, Wills and Ringler singled in runs and the last run scored on an RBI FC by Winston’s sure single to CF that Andy Ayres made a great play on to get the force at 2nd.

The Phillies scored one in extended play in the 6th off reliever Bob Mastorakis when Hosley singled and scored when Sloat’s fly ball to LF was dropped for an error, and added 1 more in the 7th when Ringler reached on an error and scored on Witek’s RBI FC.

In the top of the seventh, The Wonders mounted their biggest scoring threat of the evening with one out, by hitting through two consecutive Phillies’ errors and a single to load the bases. But crafty Ken Sloat induced a nifty 1–2–3 double play to end the game.
