2026 Summer League Results- Week 8

6/17/26- Fainting Goats 5 - Isotopes 10

Mike Martindell (3-4) singled and scored the first run of the game on a Tom Conway (3-4) RBI double. The powerful Shawn O’Grady (2-4) Pop out-6. Paul Iellamo (2-4) doubled. Don Edwards (1-3) infield hit. A strike out and a pop up to 3rd ended the inning leaving men on first and second.

The Topes opened the bottom half of the inning with back to back doubles, John Sullivan (3-4) Emilio Chaverri (1-4) which knotted the game at 1. T. C. got the dangerous hitting Chad Walker (2-4) solo home run) 6-3. Dave Warner (2-4) Pop up 1. Scott Dunaisky (2-4) hit the 3rd double of the inning scoring Emilio to make it 2-1 Topes.

Goats added a run in the second as Mike M. and Tom C. both singled. Mr. O’Grady crushed a ground rule double into the left field trees which kept T. C. on third. Next batter 5-3 to end the inning.

Topes added 3 runs in the bottom half. 3 singles by Mike Arbour (3-3) Bruce Hunsaker (1-3) and David Leslie (2–3). With one out Sully hit his second double of the game.

Goats went down quietly in their half of the inning. Dave W. Scored the only run of the inning to make it 6-2 Topes.

In the 4th the Goats sent 9 batters to the plate and could only muster 3 runs leaving the bases loaded. Back in the game trailing 6-5.

Topes added a run in the bottom half of the inning. Emilio scored from second on a Chad walker single making it 7-5 Topes.

Dave W. only gave up 2 hits in the remaining 3 innings to keep the goats at bay.

The Topes added 3 runs in the next two innings to make it a 10-5 final.

On a finishing note Chad W. hit a laser into the trees in left center for a solo Home Run. Both Chad and Shawn showed why they were the 2 most feared hitters this past fall ball which landed them 1 and 3 in this years draft.
